Important Information regarding AU Research Entrance Test (AURET) 2024-25
1. All Applications have now been verified by respective Departmental Research Committees (DRC).
2. Accordingly, three separate list have been prepared: List of AURET Eligible Candidates, List of Candidates Exempted from AURET, and List of Candidates whose applications have been rejected or Put on Hold.
3. These 3 lists have been uploaded both on the university website (https://aliah.ac.in/doctoral-admission) and on the Admission Portal (https://aums.aliah.ac.in/).
4. Only candidates who are eligible to appear for the AURET will be able to download their Admit cards from the evening of 8 April onwards.
5. The option to download the Admit card will remain open till 12 noon on 13 April. However, candidates are advised to download their Admit Cards at the earliest to avoid last minute technical glitch. Also read the below given Instructions regarding AURET carefully.
6. There are few candidates who had applied for EXEMPTION from the AURET but did not submit the hard copies of NET/SET/GATE certificates/scorecards for verifications. Such candidates will have to appear for the AURET to be considered for admission.
7. Some Applicants will find that their applications have either been REJECTED or PUT ON HOLD. Such applications will not be considered further for admission, and no individual communication in this regard will be made. Reasons for applications being Rejected or Put on Hold may include:
• Hard Copy of the application and/or supporting documents were not submitted (on time) for verification.
• Candidate was found ineligible for the course applied for.
• Candidate has not submitted all marksheets (particularly of final semester) of the examination which is the minimum requirement for the admission.
• Any discrepancy was detected in marksheets or other testimonials.
8. Disclaimer: Securing an admit card does not automatically imply admission in the specified course. The decision of the university authority regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall be final.
9. If an applicant is found ineligible at any stage or is detected to have furnished any wrong or manipulated information/documents, his/her application/admission will be cancelled forthright.
10. Instructions for the Candidates Eligible for Aliah University Research Eligibility Test (AURET) and Interview Process:
a. Venue, Date, time and duration for the entrance test are mentioned on the admit card and on the university website. Do check the university website regularly for any update regarding the same.
b. The AURET result and the schedule of interview for AURET-qualified candidates and AURET-exempted candidates for different subjects will be notified in due course of time.
c. The candidate must carry a printed copy of the admit card to the Examination Center, along with a valid photo identity proof in original such as Aadhaar card /Pan Card /Passport /Voter Card, and one extra copy of the colour photograph uploaded during online application, besides pasting one photo on the space provided on the admit card.
d. Candidates are advised to enter the examination hall at-least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. No Candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall after the commencement of the entrance test.
e. Candidates should use only black/blue ball point pen.
f. Candidates are not allowed to carry the following items in the examination center: books, printed or written materials, magazines, electronic gadgets, including calculator, mobile phone, camera, earphone, smart watch, pen drive or any other bluetooth devices.
g. If any candidate is found carrying any of these prohibited items inside the examination hall, or practicing any unfair means inside the examination hall, the candidate will be barred from the test.
h. In case of impersonation, application of the concerned candidate will be cancelled outright, and the impersonator will be handed over to the police for criminal prosecution.
i. Candidates must enter/leave the examination hall one-by-one, and/or as instructed by persons In-Charge, and must wait for their turn to avoid crowding outside the centers.
j. All instructions issued inside the examination center must be strictly adhered to by applicants.
