AIIMS Kalyani Recruitment 2025 Project Staff
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the ICMR-funded Extramural Project titled “Turning Trash
to Treasure: Development of a scalable, clinical-grade therapeutic bacteriophage repository against multidrug-resistant human critical priority pathogens from sewage, hospital effluents, and riverine water” at AIIMS Kalyani to be appointed purely on a temporary and contractual basis.

Application in the following format, along with a passport-size photo and self-attested copies of all relevant documents, should be submitted in a combined pdf format through email to the following email ID: [email protected] before 20.03.2024 up to 11:59 PM.
Shortlisted candidates based on their CV shall be called for a Written/Aptitude test/ Interview of eligible candidates on 03.04.2025 at 9.00 AM in Department of Microbiology, 4th Floor, Medical College Block (Academic Block-1), at AIIMS Kalyani. The candidate should come with all original documents, one photocopy set, and a valid photo ID at the time of the interview.
Any canvassing for the recruitment process shall lead to immediate cancellation of candidature.
The decision of the selection committee will be final.

Eligibility Criteria –
Appendix 1 – Project Technical Support-III (equivalent to JRF)
Maximum Age of eligibility: 35 years
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
i. Three Years Graduate degree in relevant subject / field + three Years post qualification experience
or
ii. PG in relevant subject / field.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
i. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in medical microbiology
laboratories, hands-on experience in molecular diagnostics, handling of stool, blood and other
clinical samples, knowledge of Biomedical Waste Management and Biosafety Levels, and
computer applications.
ii. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in Medical Diagnostic and
Research Laboratories, in settings of medical teaching institutions and experience in
ICMR/DBT/DST/CSIR-type extramural funded medical research projects.
2. Appendix 2 – Project Technical Support-I (Medical Laboratory Technician)
Maximum Age of eligibility: 28 years
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION:
i. 10th + Diploma (MLT/DMLT / ITI or equivalent) + two Years’ experience in relevant subject / field.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
i. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in microbiology/ molecular diagnostic related
laboratory work, application of molecular methods and knowledge of computer applications.
ii. Higher qualification & experience more than the essential qualification in the relevant discipline will be
an advantage for shortlisting.
3. Appendix 3 — Office Helper-1
Maximum Age of eligibility: No age limit.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION:
i. Higher Secondary pass (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board + 3 years’ Experience working in
clinical laboratories or recognized hospitals
Or
ii. Diagnostic Centre with appropriate registration under the Clinical Establishment Act or NABH or
NABL.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
i. Bachelor or Diploma in Computer Applications from a recognised institute or university
ii. Knowledge of Hospital and Laboratory Management Software and Information System
iii. Suitable working Computer knowledge in Computer Applications, confidentiality management and Office
management

TERMS & CONDITIONS
It is candidates’ responsibility to ascertain and ensure their eligibility as per the prescribed qualification and experience.
If any declaration given or information furnished by him/her prove false or if he/she is found to have wilfully suppressed any material or information, he/she will be liable for removal from service and such other action as the Government/ ICMR may deem necessary.
Even after qualifying in the selection process the candidate may be rendered disqualified at the time of document verification if he/she does not fulfil essential eligibility criteria.
Tenure:
The assignments are purely on contract basis for a period of 6 months (can be extended) for a maximum period of 36 months or completion of the project whichever is earlier.
These appointments will not vest any right to claimby the candidate for regular appointment or permanent absorption in AIIMS Kalyani/ICMR or continued contractual appointment.
Expiry of Contract: The contract will automatically expire on completion of the contract or earlier in caseof withdrawal of support by funding agency. The contractual appointment can be terminated at any time by either side by giving 30 days’ notice or salary in lieu thereof.
Leave:
The leave entitlement of the appointee shall be governed in terms of the ICMR leave policy as amended from time to time.
Accommodation:
No hostel or any other accommodation will be provided by the institute. No other allowance/facilities other than consolidated emoluments/salary shall be admissible.
Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.
The prescribed qualification is minimum and mere possessing the same does not entitle any candidate for
selection.
Applications incomplete in any aspect will be summarily rejected and no intimations / requests will be made to the candidate in this regard. Candidates who will be called for the final interview will be based on the complete discretion of the Screening Committee and no intimations will be given/ sent to the candidate in this regard.
Decision of the Selection Committee/ Competent authority at AIIMS Kalyani regarding selection of candidates will be final and no representation in any manner will be entertained in this regard.
He/ She is expected to conform to the rules of conduct and discipline as applicable to the instituteemployees.
The appointment is full time and private practice of any type is prohibited.
The Competent Authority reserves the right of any amendment, cancellation, and changes to this advertisement as a whole or in part without assigning any reason or giving notice.
Interview will be held at AIIMS Kalyani. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the same.
