AESRB Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025
Assam Engineering Service Recruitment Board (AESRB) invites online application in the website (https://www.aesrb.in) from the permanent residents of Assam and having requisite qualification for recruitment to the vacant posts of Assistant Professor (Technical) in the State Engineering Colleges under the Higher Education (Technical) Department, Government of Assam, as indicated below:

Abbreviations: UR= Unreserved, RFW Reserve for Women
PERSONS WITH BENCHMARK DISABILITY (PwBD): Physically Handicapped (PH) persons can avail
reservation and relaxations as permissible under the existing rules of Government only when degree of disability is 40% or more for the posts reserved and suitable for PwBD candidates.

Qualification: AESRB Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025
(i) For Sl. No.1 to Sl. No.5:
B.E./B. Tech./B.S. (4-year Degree course) and M.E./M. Tech./M.S. or integrated M. Tech in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.
(ii) For Sl. No.6:
B.E./B. Tech./B.S. (4-year Degree course) and M.E./M. Tech./M.S. or integrated M. Tech in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.
OR
Adv. No. AESRB-02/2025
B.E./B. Tech. and MCA with First Class or equivalent in any one of the two degrees.
OR
Graduation of three years’ duration with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and MCA with First Class or equivalent with 2 years of teaching/research/industrial experience after acquiring degree of MCA.
Note: Candidates who have done Ph.D. after the Bachelor’s Degree from institution of National importance with GATE/CEED shall be eligible for the post of Assistant Professor.

Scale of Pay: (Level-10) Rs. 57,700-Rs. 1,82,400 plus other allowances as admissible under Rules.
Age: The candidate should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2025.
The upper age limit is relaxable upto:
(i) 5 (five) years for SC/STP/STH candidates i.e. upto 43 years.
(ii) 3 (three) years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 41 years and
(iii) 10 (ten) years for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) candidates i.e. upto 48 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and General Category candidates.
(iv) For Ex-servicemen: The maximum age limit for entry into Government services for Grade-I and Grade-II posts in respect of Ex-servicemen shall be relaxed up to 50(fifty) years for un-reserved category:
Provided that the upper age limit in respect of Ex-servicemen who belongs to Other Backward Classes or More Other Backward Classes shall be relaxed by 3 (three) years over their general age limit of 50(fifty) years i.e. up to 53 (fifty three) years.
Provided that the upper age limit in respect of Ex-servicemen who belongs to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes shall be relaxed by a further age relaxation of five years over their general age limit of 50 (fifty) years i.e. up to 55 (fifty-five) years.
HOW TO APPLY: AESRB Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025
CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ONLINE APPLICATION FORM ONLY THROUGH THE LINK AVAILABLE IN THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF ASSAM ENGINEERING SERVICE RECRUITMENT BOARD. NO OTHER MODE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION IS VALID.
A) The link for Online Applications will be available shortly in the official website of AESRB (http://www.aesrb.in) only. The last date of submission of online application along with requisite fees is 22.04.2025.
B) Intending applicants are to visit the website of the Board to fill up the online form and upload latest passport size photo and signature.
C) Applicants shall have to pay application fees of Rs.250.00 (For General candidates) and Rs.150.00 (For OBC candidates) through the payment gateway provided in the on-line portal only in the website of AESRB except BPL and PwBD candidates. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) are exempted from payment of application fee as per provision of the Assam Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Vacancies in Services and Posts) (Amendment) Act, 2024.
D) Application without prescribed application fee will be summarily rejected.
E) After the application is ‘submitted’ in the on-line system, the applicant shall take out a printout for future reference of the candidate as and when required.
F) The candidates applying for various posts should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions before submission of online application. Their candidature at all the stages of recruitment process for which they are applying will be purely provisional, subject to satisfaction of the prescribed eligibility conditions. If it is found that he/she does not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions, his/her candidature for the recruitment will be cancelled at any time, any stage during the recruitment process or thereafter.
G) In case of detection of any false declaration/ statement made by any applicant, his/her application will be rejected and necessary steps shall be taken under appropriate provisions of Law against such applicants.
H) Candidates may apply for more than one post if he/she is eligible and for that the candidate has to pay application fee separately, as applicable.

PROCESS OF RECRUITMENT: AESRB Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025
The Recruitment process will comprise of
(1) OMR-MCQ based Written Examination : 75 Marks
(ii) Teaching Proficiency Test : 25 Marks
The OMR MCQ based question Paper/Booklets shall contain 75 questions carrying 1(one) mark for
each correct answer. There will be negative marking of 0.25 (one-fourth) marks for wrong answer against each question. Only shortlisted candidate will be called for Teaching Proficiency Test.
Verification of original documents of the shortlisted candidates shall be done on the day of Teaching Proficiency Test.
The necessary guidelines/instructions relating to OMR-MCQ based Written Examination and Teaching Proficiency Test will be notified in due course of time in the official website of AESRB.
GUIDELINES FOR FILLING UP ONLINE APPLICATION FORM:
The guidelines for filling up the online application form will be available in the official website of AESRB (https://www.aesrb.in) in due course of time.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
i. Candidates must have all requisite qualification on or before last date of submission of online application. If found otherwise, the application shall be liable to be cancelled at the time of document verification/at any point of time/ at any stage in the future.
II. The eligibility of a candidate in terms of requisite qualifications and other criteria required for the respective posts shall be decided after physical verification of the original documents only of the shortlisted candidates based on Written Test.
Iii. Applicants already employed shall have to submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ issued by Controlling Authority in due course of time.
IV. Canvassing directly or indirectly shall disqualify a candidate.
V. The Board reserves the right to cancel, alter or modify the advertisement or other terms and conditions of the advertisement at any stage.
vi. Any change or amendment to this Advertisement will be posted only in the AESRB website.
vii. Intending applicants are advised to visit the AESRB website frequently for any Addendum, Corrigendum, Notices etc.
viii. All other matters which are not specially provided in this advertisement shall be as per decision taken by the Board.
Note: 1. The list of candidates shortlisted for Teaching Proficiency Test (TPT) will be published in the website of Assam Engineering Service Recruitment Board (https://www.aesrb.in).
The list of finally selected candidates shall be submitted to the Government with the recommendation of the Board. The same shall also be published in the website of the Board.
